Introduction
Our story
The Region Of Murcia’s Fundación Universidad Empresa was created in 1988 by the University of Murcia, the Region of Murcia's Chamber of Commerce, industry and navigation, the business association CROEM, the INFO and a large number of companies acting individually. Shortly afterwards, the Polytechnic University of Cartagena was added to the list when it was separated from the University of Murcia.
Aims
FUERM’s primary aim is encouraging communication, dialogue and joint activity between the University and business in order to promote and carry out all sorts of studies and research of interest to both parties and contribute to the growth and development of the Region of Murcia.

The Foundation's main priorities are all those activities related to the training of postgraduates, managers, businessmen and business specialists, to the transfer of research and technological development to companies, to making it easier to employ graduates and to support the university community.
Who participates in the Foundation?
FUERM is made up of different public bodies and more than three hundred associated private companies.
The organisations represented on the Foundation’s governing board are:
- The regional public universities: the University of Murcia and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
- Region of Murcia’s Development Institute
- The Regional Confederation of Business Organisations. CROEM
- Murcia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation
- Murcia Town Hall
- The Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo. CAM
- The Caja de Ahorros de Murcia. CAJAMURCIA
- Two businessmen who represent the companies associated with the Foundation
Who governs the Foundation?
The Board of Trustees is the governing body responsible for FUERM governance and representation and is also responsible for carrying out the founding aims and for administering and maintaining the performance and utility of the properties and rights contained in the Foundation's wealth. All of the organisations that make up the Foundation are represented on the Board of Trustees.

FUERM develops its activity across three different areas:
- ENAE Business School, its business, management and administration school
- Business research and innovation
- Employment service and business creation
- Partner company services
